Haematology crosses both the medical directorate and the clinical directorate of laboratory medicine.  The clinical service comprises general haematology and coagulation haematology services.

The Haematology Day Unit called the Colman K Byrnes Unit (CKB), provides chemotherapy administration, assessment and supportive care to haematology oncology outpatients and to others with haematology conditions.

The Urodynamics and continence promotion department provides a range of services and diagnostic testing for patients with urinary symptoms or incontinence problems.
