Fran Hanlon, Director of Finance & Procurement

Fran Hanlon was appointed Director of Finance in April 2025, where he oversees the hospital’s financial operations, ensuring fiscal responsibility, strategic budget planning, and operational efficiency. With 17 years of experience in healthcare finance, Fran brings a proven track record of improving financial performance, streamlining processes, and supporting organisational growth.

In his role, Fran manages budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance with healthcare regulations. He works closely with executive leadership and department heads to align financial strategies with the hospital’s mission of delivering exceptional patient care.

Fran’s experience ranges from previous roles in St James’s Hospital, St Luke's Radiation Oncology Network, Healthcare Pricing Office, and National HSE Finance.

Fran is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Ireland, achieving a 1st in the World in his final exam. He has also completed diplomas in Forensic Accounting and Strategic Financial Leadership, awarded by Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Fran's remit includes responsibility for Management Accounts, Payroll, Creditors, Patient Accounts, Supplies & Procurement, HIPE and Trauma Co-ordinators.
