On Thurs 29 May, Minister Jack Chambers, the Minister of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, officially launched the Government's review of the National Development Plan from Beaumont Hospital. The event took place at the brand new Cystic Fibrosis unit in Beaumont Hospital, a fitting location given the importance of the CF Unit to our healthcare system.

RCSI / Beaumont Hospital has opened Ireland’s first dedicated patient stem cell research facility at the Education and Research Centre at Beaumont Hospital. The new facility marks a significant milestone in patient-centred biomedical research in Ireland. It will enable advanced stem cell research and personalised drug testing, with initial applications focusing on lung disease and extending to other conditions over time.
