Consultant Nephrologist
Dr. Ciara Magee graduated from RCSI in 2003 and undertook specialist training in Nephrology in Ireland before pursuing subspecialty training in kidney transplantation at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston and at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. She was appointed as a Consultant Nephrologist & Renal Transplant Physician at the Royal Free in 2015 and held this post until moving to Beaumont in 2021.
Dr. Magee's clinical practice covers all areas of nephrology, but with particular focus on kidney transplantation and management of highly sensitised transplant patients. Her research interests are focused on transplantation immunobiology, with particular interest in the mechanisms of immune regulation, ageing and transplant virology.
