Epilepsy is a neurological condition which is treated by consultant neurologists who specialise in epilepsy and their teams. Beaumont is one of the referring hospitals under the National Clinical Programme for Epilepsy.

The Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in Beaumont Hospital is a mix of subspecialty ENT interests including lateral and anterior skull base surgery, rhinology, cochlear implant, facial plastic and head and neck cancer surgery and is the largest single provider of otolaryngology surgical primary procedures in the country. Patients are also managed via clinical pathways including vestibular physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, audiology, tonsillectomy and epistaxis pathways.

Raheny Community Nursing Unit (RCNU)

The Raheny Community Nursing Unit (RCNU) is a 100 bedded residential unit for long term elderly residents which is located on the St Joseph’s Hospital campus. Residents are cared for in an open, welcoming and safe environment, where respect and dignity for residents, family members and staff are valued principles. The RCNU is a nurse led unit which is supported by a consultant geriatrician, medical, rehabilitation staff and activities teams.
