Beaumont Hospital marked the first anniversary of our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan with a Year in Review event attended by HSE CEO Bernard Gloster, Board members, clinical and operational leaders, RCSI colleagues and our Patient Partnership Forum.
The event highlighted strong progress during 2025 as we laid the organisational foundations needed to deliver long term transformation. Key developments included strengthened clinical and corporate governance, expansion of the Executive Management Group, enhanced collaboration with HSE Spark, improved leadership engagement, and progress toward establishing a new Research Directorate.
Significant infrastructure and digital achievements were also noted, including the opening of the Hybrid Theatre, completion of the Radiology Day Ward redevelopment, optimisation of onsite clinical accommodation, the opening of the Chestnut Wards in the CF building, and major progress through Project Coral and the replacement of BHIS.Our Strategy Implementation team outlined how the plan has been embedded across the organisation through clear ownership of actions, alignment to seven Strategic Priorities and 32 Objectives, and a robust monitoring framework supported by digital dashboards.
Patient partners played a central role in the event, reinforcing our commitment to patient centred care. Presentations across digital transformation, pharmacy, robotic surgery, volunteering and regional partnerships showcased the progress already underway.
Looking ahead, 2026 will focus on embedding new structures, improving capacity and patient flow to improve access for our patients, patient and staff safety, advancing infrastructure and digital modernisation, and continuing to strengthen research, partnerships and culture. Thank you to all staff, partners and patient contributors who are helping drive this important work forward.
