There is a strong emphasis on staff development from induction to specialist education within the TUN Directorate.

Post Graduate Diploma in Renal Nursing in conjunction with RCSI.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Renal/Urology Nursing is designed to equip students with the theory and skills necessary to provide evidence-based, quality care to patients with renal/urological disorders in today’s challenging healthcare environment.
This course runs over 1 year, part time, commencing every September. The successful student will have the option to progress into year two to complete an Msc in Renal Nursing.
The course contains 6 modules; 3 core modules which are delivered by RCSI and 3 clinical modules delivered in the Centre of Education, Beaumont Hospital. The specialist content of the programme focuses on key aspects of Renal & Urology nursing.
The clinical modules include:
Holistic care of the Patient with disorders of the Renal system
