Beaumont Hospital is pleased to announce the successful launch of Project Coral (iPM & Orbis systems), which went live over the weekend of September 13th. The project represents one of the most significant system upgrades in the hospitals history, designed to modernize operations and strengthen future readiness and marks the culmination of a two-year transformation program, replacing a 35 year old legacy system. The support for the new systems is evidenced by the more than 3000 staff who were trained on multiple systems.in preparation for the transition.
“Project Coral is a milestone achievement for our staff and our organization,” said Anne Coyle, Chief Executive. “The success of the switchover is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and teamwork of everyone involved. We are incredibly proud of what has been accomplished.”
The implementation was made possible thanks to the efforts of staff across all departments, whose support and commitment ensured a successful transition to the new systems, supported by our own programme team who’s years of experience and legacy knowledge of our old systems were key and who in turn were supported by vendor staff from Dedalus.
We would like to thank our community colleagues for their support over the go-live period – the National Ambulance service & Dublin airport fire service, our local GP community, our colleagues in the other Dublin Area Teaching Hospitals (DATHs), Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, the Integrated Health Area (IHA) and the HSE Dublin North East.
We were delighted to welcome Alberto Calcagno, CEO of Dedalus on Tuesday 16 Sept, who visited us to personally congratulate our staff on the successful implementation of iPM & Orbis. His visit is a recognition of the incredible teamwork, commitment and dedication to the staff that made this milestone possible.
“Seeing the dedication, commitment, and professionalism of the staff who made this possible has been truly inspiring,” said Mr. Calcagno. “This successful implementation is not only a technical achievement but also a demonstration of teamwork and a shared vision for better healthcare delivery.”
With Project Coral (iPMS & ORBIS) now live, Beaumont is equipped with a modern, future-proof system that will enhance day-to-day operations, improve efficiency, and provide staff with the tools needed to continue delivering high-quality services to patients for years to come.
