The Transplantation, Urology and Nephrology Directorate provides a supra-regional referral service for all aspects of kidney disease, a busy in-patient consult service and in collaboration with transplant surgery, a national referral service for kidney transplantation. An integral part of the directorate’s ability to deliver care is The Renal Day Ward; this facility makes it possible to carry out medical or nursing assessment, investigations / procedures on an out-patient basis.
Located in the Dialysis Therapies Centre (1st Floor Aislin Centre Building). Renal Day Ward contributes significantly to care delivered by the Beaumont Hospital Kidney Centre. Amongst others the key services provided are:
