Attending a VIRTUAL clinic

A Virtual Clinic is a consultation with a patient that takes place by phone or video instead of a face-to-face consultation with a healthcare provider in a health facility or hospital.

It may also be called telemedicine, telehealth or videolink

A virtual consultation can be delivered via telephone and/or video using approved, secure technology.

Each patient is carefully assessed prior to being offered a virtual appointment to ensure that they are only used for tasks that are clinically appropriate for delivery through this medium and do not compromise patient care.

In Beaumont we use a number of virtual clinic platforms for different cohorts of patients.  The one descibed below is called Attend Anywhere which is specifically used for patients of our Health & Social Care Professional clinics - such as Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work, Dietetics etc)

As previously agreed with your therapist, a virtual video appointment has been scheduled for you with Beaumont Hospital Clinical Services Department.  We ask you to take a few minutes to review the information below ahead of your appointment. You will need to let us know if you have any issues after you complete the test call and we will either arrange to see you in person or offer you an alternative.

Please review the attached Patient Information Leaflet on Virtual Clinics

For information on how to use Attend Anywhere and to complete a test call please see HERE.

(Please note that you can access Attend Anywhere on any any computer, tablet or smart phone using the latest Google Chrome or Safari internet browser only.  It will not work on Internet Explorer)
