COVID still remains in the Community and in the Hospital however we understand the need for patients to have contact with family members and therefore New Visiting arrangements will come in affect from Monday 25/04/2022.

There will be two types of visiting and in all cases one visitor permitted at a time only:

Routine visiting

Weekends and Public Holidays : time restricted to between the hours of  2.00 pm to 4.00 pm only

Visiting will not be permitted outside those hours

Exceptional visiting

Exceptional visiting due to End of Life care or vulnerable patients whereby time is not restricted.  Visiting must be pre-arranged in agreement with the Clinical Nurse Manager of the ward/unit and only patients who are listed for exceptional visiting will have visitors permitted.   Please contact the ward directly and speak to the Clinical Nurse Manager.  Children under the age of 16 years are not permitted to visit except in exceptional circumstances.

Visitors must adhere to hand hygiene practices and wear a face mask/covering at all times.  It is safer for all, if visitors are fully vaccinated.

Visiting arrangements may be amended/suspended if there is a suspected or confirmed outbreak of any transmissible organism on a ward, including COVID-19.
