Pharmacy Department
About us
The Pharmacy Department provides pharmaceutical care to 630 in-patients in the Hospital. Our 31 staff include pharmacists, pharmaceutical technicians, a pre-registration pharmacist, clerical support, and porters.
Services provided include dispensary, ward and clinical pharmacy, cytotoxic reconstitution and drug information. More details about these services are provided elsewhere.
The Pharmacy Department also participates in a number of Hospital groups and committees, including the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee, the Infection Control Committee, and the Clinical Services Group.
A close working relationship with medical, nursing and paramedical groups is encouraged to ensure the delivery of an optimum pharmacy service to all patients.
