Accessing the breast health service

Patients are referred to us by their GP.  Our dedicated Breast Care Nurses assess the referrals and categorises them as urgent, soon or routine, based on the patients symptoms. Patients are either contacted by phone or by appointment letter.   You can also fax a referral letter to our dedicated breast fax number: (01) 809 3999.

Sending GP referrals from your GP to the breast health unit

We prefer if your GP sends your referral electronically - see below. Please note that we do not accept fax referrals.
