Visiting Arrangements - Update Jan 3rd 2023
Only one visitor per patient is allowed and children under the age of 16 years are not permitted to visit except in exceptional circumstances.
End of life care and compassionate visiting is only permitted at the discretion of the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Visitors must adhere to hand hygiene practices and wear a face mask/covering at all times.
Visitors can also take an antigen test prior to attending the hospital as an additional protective measure.
Routine visiting
- Monday to Friday : 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm only
- Weekends and Public Holidays : 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm only
- Visiting will not be permitted outside of these hours
Exceptional visiting
Exceptional visiting due to End of Life care or vulnerable patients whereby time is not restricted. Visiting must be pre-arranged in agreement with the Clinical Nurse Manager of the ward/unit and only patients who are listed for exceptional visiting will have visitors permitted. Please contact the ward directly and speak to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
Visitors must adhere to hand hygiene practices and wear a face mask/covering at all times.
Please note that as there is an increase prevalence of COVID-19 and Influenza in the hospital and the community, suspended visiting can change each day and it is therefore advisable to check with the Ward Nurse Manager / Nurse in Charge each day before visiting the hospital. Please do not attend the hospital to visit if you are unwell.
