Nursing Graduates receive their Beaumont Hospital badges
Friday January 01, 2010
The Annual Nursing Graduation Ceremony took place on Monday 4th March during which Ms. Karen Greene, Director of Nursing, presented our sixty seven new graduate nurses with their Beaumont Hospital nursing badges. Congratulations to new graduate Charlotte O’ Brien who won the Ms Josephine Bartley Student Award for excellence in clinical practice, and to Aisling Dolan, staff nurse on St Finbar’s ward who won the Award for Excellence in Preceptorship sponsored by Beaumont Hospital Foundation . Aisling was selected for the prize based on nominations from the graduating students in recognition of the professional guidance and support she provided to them.
Many thanks to Alan Healy Cunningham, Assistant Director of Nursing, gave an inspirational guest address and to Mr Ian Carter, CEO for giving the closing address to this special ceremony.
We would like to give a special word of thanks to all those who have contributed to this year's graduate nurse’s success. We must also express our gratitude to the Chaplaincy Dept, for the interdenominational blessing of the hands ceremony, which makes the occasion special for the graduates and their families. Thanks also to General Services and Portering Departments for their help and the Catering Department for providing the refreshments following the graduation. A special thanks to the team in the Centre of Education for their continued support of the students and to the organising committee for co-ordinating and organising this event.
Finally we would like to wish all the graduates the best of luck as they embark on their careers
