Donation of 'comfort pouches' to oncology patients in Beaumont (Nov 15th)
Wednesday November 15, 2017
Louise O’Loughlin from Rush who lost her mum to ovarian cancer three years ago, donated 150 ‘cancer patient comfort pouches’ to Beaumont Hospital surgical and medical oncology services.
The pouches contain Lip balm, tissues, mints, rescue body lotion and Louise ensured that all the products were safe to use for chemotherapy patients. The pouches will be distributed by the CNM to all oncology surgery and chemotherapy patients.
Inspired by her mum who would have loved this gesture and a colleague in the UK, Louise gained overwhelming local support to create these. Louise also contacted publisher and business woman Nora Casey who donated a magazine for inclusion with each pouch.
Thanks to Louise for this very generous donation.
