The Blood Pressure Unit is involved in the detection, management and education of patients with hypertension. This involves evaluation of a 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitor and reporting same to relevant clinical staff. The Unit is nurse lead under the direction of one of the consultant cardiologists. The Unit sees approximately 3,000 patients per year and, more recently, has seen activity increase due to the development of Stroke Services at Beaumont.
Hours
The Blood Pressure Unit opens from 08.00 am - 15.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
