Hygiene Services Division

The hospital welcomes feedback on all services for patients and members of the public to include hygiene services of cleaning, laundry and waste management which is used to continually improve the experience of all using the services.    The hospital has in place a hygiene monitoring programme in place to ensure services are maintained in line with national standards.


Cleaning Services Division  


About us

The Cleaning Services Division consists of two Cleaning Services Managers whose remit is to manage the following:

  • Cleaning Contract
  • Window Cleaning
  • Sani-Bin Contract

All three services are provided by outside contractors who are selected by competitive tendering.  The current contact for our cleaning and window contacts is Bidvest Noonan and Cannon Hygiene provide the Sani-Bin service.

Cleaning programme

The purpose of the cleaning programme is to maintain hygiene services in line with the national hygiene standards.  The cleaning service is available on a 24 hour a day basis, 365 days a year on telephone number 01 852 8132.

Laundry Service


About us

The Laundry Service is provided by an outside Contractor who is selected by competitive tendering.  The current contractor is Celtic Linen.  The service is provided on a managed rental basis.

Services

The function of this department is to provide a clean linen service, a scrub suit service,  floor mats service and a curtain exchange programme in compliance with national hygiene standards to all wards and departments throughout the Hospital.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 6.00pm (excluding public holidays).

Waste Management


About us

The Hospital has a Waste Manager and a new waste management compound was completed in 2007. This assists the Hospital in its waste management disposal policy and recycling processes.  The waste management service is provided by an outside Contractor who is selected by competitive tendering.
