Dr. Norman Delanty, Consultant Neurologist, Beaumont Hospital, has received the prestigious Ambassador for Epilepsy Award.
In 1968, the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) and the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) introduced the award, which recognises outstanding personal contributions that advance the cause of epilepsy and have international impact.
Dr. Delanty received his award at the 28th International Epilepsy Congress, held in Budapest from June 28th to July 2nd 2009. Professor Peter Wolf, President of the International League against Epilepsy, presented the award.
The name of each recipient is added to the Ambassadors' Hall of Fame maintained by IBE and ILAE.
