On Friday the 8th January 2021 the Renal Patient Care Coordinators Department along with Renal IT ran the first ever chronic kidney disease patient education day virtually. Speakers on the day included staff from Home Therapies, Dialysis, Ambulatory Care, Vascular Access and the Renal Dietetics department. We also had a guest speaker, Colin White from the Irish Kidney association. This day is normally run in-house on a quarterly basis but due to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic it has been unable to go ahead in recent months. The day overall was a great success and the department is looking forward to running more throughout the coming year
